Hawaiian Airlines

Hawaiian Airlines, Hawaii's largest airline, specializes in air transportation among the Hawaiian Islands, the Western U.S., and the South Pacific. Founded in 1929, Hawaiian Airlines is one of the most recognizable, established brands in the island chain.

Early to realize that a brand experience is more than a logo or color palette, Hawaiian Airlines has always strived to make every touchpoint of their service gracious and warm, enabling visitors to Hawaii to begin their vacation the moment they board a Hawaiian Airlines aircraft.

Hawaiian Airlines offers pre-paid gift cards for inter-island travel. Sold alongside other cards in grocery stores and airports, the cards need to maximize a very small amount of real estate to catch the consumer's attention. The company invited a handful of design firms to submit design options. Method saw this as an opportunity to expand and explore a brand extension, based on the airline's core identity mark. The designs for the gift cards and related display packaging, name tags, coffee cups, and design for the planes themselves provided an array of vibrant options for extending the company's brand expression.

Method offers a rational and intuitive approach to solving complex brand challenges in all traditional and digital media.
