San Francisco, CA—June 3, 2008— Method, a leading brand experience agency, today announced the expansion of its executive leadership team, with the appointment of Steven Spieczny as Chief Market Officer, accelerating and broadening the company's reach into new geographies and markets.
As Chief Market Officer, Spieczny will focus on developing and expanding all areas of Method's sales and marketing strategy with regard to new business and corporate marketing, and forging new relationships to complement Method's service offerings. He will also drive Method's vertical market outreach and geographic expansion, adding to the company's current client roster in industries such as technology, media & entertainment, retail, luxury/consumer goods, financial services, and health care, while also supporting Method's expansion internationally.
"Method has a long-standing reputation for innovation and creativity, and the firm is responsible for the award-winning design and branding behind some of the most recognized brands in the world," said Robbie Vann-Adibé, Method Co-CEO. "Steven will drive our sales strategy and outbound communications, and help transform Method from one of the industry's best-kept secrets to one of the world's most formidable names in design-led business innovation."
Steven Spieczny's business development expertise unites a deep understanding of user-centered, creatively-driven design and production with extensive management experience of highly-innovative service and product organizations. Before joining Method, Spieczny was SVP of Business Development at Schematic, a leading national interactive agency recently acquired by WPP/Y&R, where he helped to significantly grow its top-line revenue and secured major client relationships with global companies such as ITV plc, Electronic Arts, Accenture, Motorola, NBC/Universal and Turner Networks. Earlier in his career, Spieczny forged new partner relationships and led business development for Capgemini's Telecom, Media & Entertainment Group. Prior to Capgemini, Spieczny was a founding executive with venture-backed Emergent Game Technologies (former Butterfly.net) and pioneered internet strategy and services as an early member of web services firm Viant Inc.'s San Francisco team. He eventually led Viant's Media & Entertainment practice for San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Spieczny gained valuable design industry insights and technical capabilities early on through his work at the award-winning brand design firm, Studio Archetype, and his previous management of software product efforts at Quark. Before working in the technology industry, he was as an executive and line producer of broadcast commercials and music videos, having attended NYU's prestigious Graduate Film Program.
