In anticipation of the opening of the new Marimekko Flagship store in New York City, Method worked with Marimekko to direct a sneak peek video of the store facade being installed. Racked reported on the opening, doing a short feature on the video:
New Yorkers still have a few months to wait for the opening of Marimekko's flagship, which debuts in the Flatiron District this October. But we can make the time go faster with a preview of the Finnish textile giant's fall 2011 collection. Check out some of the little dresses and bright bags, and head to our sister site Curbed National for a glimpse of the fall housewares.
Marimekko recently wrapped the entire storefront in a loud, cheerful print designed by in-house artist Aino-Maija Metsola, who was inspired by everyday life in Manhattan.
