Several of Method's key team members will be in attendance at CES this week in support of many of our clients: boxee, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Sorenson Communications, Plantronics, CNN, GlideTV, Move Networks, Organic Motion, and more.
Kevin Farnham, Method's CEO, said of the event: "We are really pleased to see so many of our clients exhibiting at CES. We're very proud of the work that we've done with them and look forward to continuing our work in 2009. To celebrate all of the successful launches, we're hosting a industry networking event at Spago where we look forward to connecting with our current and future clients."
boxee, a Method Ventures client, took top honors at this year's CES i-Stage Competition. The event, which took place October 20th, featured the most innovative new consumer technology products. boxee took the winning prize with its "social" media center that allows consumers to share personal videos, music and photos as well as content from websites like Hulu, CNN.com, ABC.com, Flickr and PicasaWeb. Method partnered with boxee to develop a comprehensive, multi-platform brand system and interface design. View the case study.
"boxee exemplifies technological innovation," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA. "The product is a complete social networking solution and raises the bar for aggregating networking sites. boxee is a great example of the convergence of content and devices, and we look forward to their exhibit at the 2009 International CES."
An earlier Method Ventures strategic partner, motion capture technology innovator Organic Motion, was featured in the CES 2008 Keynote presentation with Intel CEO Paul Otellini.
