Primary Responsibilities-Identify, qualify and close new business client opportunities
-Timely manage individual opportunity pipeline information and be able to explain and report status in group meetings and to CMO
- Lead cross-functional teams in assembling strategies and comprehensive, strategically-driven responses to RFIs and RFPs within tight timelines
- Demonstrate leadership ability and a teamwork orientation by successfully leading remote and local teams in high-pressure prospective client presentations
- Gain and maintain knowledge in Method’s industry practice areas and apply that vertical expertise to winning new business in those and new verticals
- Maintain a working knowledge of all services offered by Method in order to match prospect needs with Method solutions
- Uncover and create new business opportunities through independent prospecting including cold-calling, capabilities presentations, direct mail campaigns, etc.
- Cultivate and maintain relations with complementary channel partners to develop and drive new business opportunities.
- Able to conceive of and help execute effective marketing and prospecting programs to increase awareness of Method among qualified prospects
- Effectively negotiate early stage contractual terms and ensure Method receives contracts on time
- Represent the company at networking functions, trade shows and other industry-related events
Qualifications- Direct prior experience working in a design/branding and/or interactive agency firm environment is strongly desired.
- Disciplined self-starter with 5+ years of consultative selling experience in a branding firm and/or interactive agency environment or other related service industry
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus.
- Proven track record of developing effective strategies and customized proposals that win new business from sophisticated buyers
- Track record of meeting and exceeding a multi-million dollar quota for the last several years
- Excellent oral and written communication, persuasion, diplomatic and interpersonal skills; experience in researching, writing and delivering proposals and presentations
- Able to work within a sales environment where leads are thoroughly screened and a large percentage may be turned down due to issues of fit and suitability with the company's overall strategic goals
- A demonstrated ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial setting where 'many hats' must be worn and decisions need to be made quickly sometimes with minimal management direction
- Experience selling to high-level sophisticated buyers at Fortune 1000 companies
- Hard driving, "Close the Deal" attitude will be important but must be balanced with flexibility, patience and adaptability
- Team player, strong work ethic, ability to work with minimal supervision, results-oriented, flexible, patient and adaptable
- An understanding of interactive technologies as well as the key players in the larger enterprise market
