OverviewSenior Designers have a well-rounded understanding of the design process – thinking like a strategist, producing work that inspires, be highly original, and always on-brand. You’re confident in your ability to transform complex, user-centered design challenges into tangible solutions across different mediums.
Primary Responsibilities-Partner with Art Directors to conceptualize, design, build, and extend brand experiences. -Develop high-level creative concepts for interactive and print based projects; help to refine and further develop these concepts into complete, functional design systems. -Provide design-mentorship to junior designers by exposing them to new challenges, decisions, and meetings. -Approach design problems conceptually, with a constant desire to innovate. -Establish new visual design languages or work within existing ones. -Collaborate with different disciplines within the studio and across the company. -Participate in internal and client work-sessions Maintain cultural awareness of the design landscape with respect to current and future trends.
Qualifications -An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions. -3+ years design experience consulting for interactive and print based projects. -BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience. -A strong understanding of grid systems, composition, and color; with a keen eye for typography, and meticulous attention to detail. -A deep understanding of type use, development, and classification. -A passion for clean, functional and outstanding design. -Experience working on identity systems and establishing brand guidelines. -Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills. -Comfort collaborating with multiple stake holders and across disciplines. -Highly competent with Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects, and 3D design software is a plus. -A design knowledge of HTML, DHTML and CSS
