A versatile and accomplished User Experience Designer, Evelyn has spent the past 14 years defining and designing interactive media. Drawing upon her experiences designing for a range of platforms - from websites to web applications, TV to smart phones to kitchen appliances - she leads user experience teams on projects at Method, establishing design research practices as well as defining interface designs for each project.
Evelyn began her career at Ikonic Interactive, an early web agency specializing in web and interactive TV experiences. She produced some of the first interactive experiences for clients such as AT&T, Microsoft, and IBM. She was then a core member of a startup team for Hotwire.com, leading user experience until the company's acquisition by InterActive Corp (IAC). Evelyn then joined a design team at Yahoo for the company's first major portal redesign in six years.
No stranger to the creative services field, Evelyn has worked for many of the leading creative services firms in the Bay Area (frog Design, Adaptive Path, IndustryNext) and well as out (Bruce Mau Design in Toronto). Her projects have ranged from the user interface for TurboChef's high-end commercial oven, 10' applications for Windows Media Center, and the development of a vision strategy for Nokia.
Most recently, Evelyn has worked for major product development companies. At Palm, she was the lead UI designer for Palm's on-board GPS navigation system for location-based services using the Treo and Windows Mobile devices. At Samsung Design America, she worked with Samsung's Corporate Design Center to pilot a global framework for measuring user experience which would be used by 600+ UI designers across the company's broad product base.
Evelyn has a BA in International Relations / Development Studies from Brown University. She is an avid traveler and has published numerous collections of her travel photography.
